Principle UX Developer 2017–Present

Initiated the company's first design system as an open source project, with 28 contributors across separate teams, and helped promote the adoption to all front-end applications. Worked closely with the front-end teams to promote standards and improve processes, including the use of a private npm registry for shared libraries. Lead technical discussions around accessibility, responsive web design, React component architecture, managing CSS, and A/B experimentation.

Bond Street

Software Developer 2016–2017

Helped organize and implement a more modern front end architecture, including module bundling, using npm for dependency management, minification, and testing infrastructure. Began initial work and architecture for a customer-facing web application, built with React and a RESTful API.

Designer 2015–2016

Helped design and develop the customer facing React application for their AI-backed website builder.

Etsy

Product Designer 2014–2015

Worked on design and development for internal tools on the data science team, including Catapult, Etsy's internal tool for managing and tracking A/B tests. Helped the style guide team with documentation and development of Etsy's new style guide.

Kickstarter

Product Designer 2013–2014

Helped design and develop a style guide, focusing on CSS architecture, performance, accessibility, and designer workflows. Worked on design and development for several langing pages, including the 2014 Year in Review and the One Billion Dollars page. Helped with internationalization updates for both the creator and backer applications.

Stich Fix

Lead Designer 2013

Set up an initial style guide for web products, conducted user research and sketching sessions, and designed and developed a new internal tool for stylists.

LivingSocial

Senior UX Designer 2010–2013

Helped design native apps for iOS and Android. Designed and developed prototypes for user research. Worked on conversion funnel optimizations, initial designs for food delivery and merchant-facing applications.

Opower

UX Designer 2008–2010

Developed and maintained design systems across personalized white-label direct mail and web products. Helped conduct user research and created prototypes for testing. Designed an icon and illustration system for use in the product and marketing materials.
